What is Raindrop Technique?

Developed by D. Gary Young in the 1980’s, Raindrop Technique is a therapy that combines a variety of energy medicine and natural medicine modalities. Raindrop involves the amazing power of essential oils, which dispense in small, rain-like drops about six inches above the body, having a topical and aromatic impact. This technique also combines the therapies of effleurage massage (light touch), Vita Flex Therapy (whose name means “Vitality through the Reflexes” and has a similarity to Reflexology) as well as a series of specific finger-stroking techniques for the spinal muscles. The therapy concludes with moist heat applicationThe technique is designed to bring the body back into structural and electrical alignment.

Often, spinal problems and misalignments are caused by or exacerbated by toxins (such as viruses) that lie dormant within the spinal column. The use of essential oils helps to dispose of these toxins and viruses within the spine, helping its structure return to normal. Since its development over 30 years ago, Raindrop Technique has brought relief to people suffering from chronic pain by reducing inflammation, improving circulation, enhancing immune function, relieving stress, and facilitating the release of negative emotions.

Since Raindrop oils are high in phenolic content, they ward off potentially damaging viruses and bacteria while cleansing cellular receptor sites to enhance inter- and intra-cellular communication and improve overall bodily function. Raindrop oils contain a variety of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes to assist in deleting misinformation in the DNA and in the reprogramming of correct information in cellular memory to restore and maintain physical and emotional wellness.

The essential oils used in Raindrop Technique® are high quality, Seed-to-Seal® authentic grade & unadulterated.

Essential oils used during the Raindrop Technique:

*BALANCING BLEND (VALOR®) Known anecdotally as "Chiropractor in a Bottle", Valor contains oils of spruce, rosewood, blue tansy, and frankincense in a fractionated coconut oil. Gentle and soothing, it helps balance bodily electricity and stimulates spinal realignment. It also affects the limbic system in a way to improve one’s self-image, enhancing feelings of confidence, courage, and self-esteem.

*OREGANO  It is one of the most powerful essential oils. Research at Weber State University demonstrated a 99% kill rate against in-vitro colonies of Streptococcus pneumonia. Additionally, it has high phenolic content, which helps clean cell receptor sites.

*THYME  Thyme is a powerful oil that has antiseptic, immune enhancing properties. It is supportive of the body’s natural defenses. Thyme has been used to combat the bacterium that causes anthrax, and it is also high in phenols.

*BASIL  It can be relaxing to both voluntary muscles and to involuntary muscles as well. Voluntary muscles include all the motor muscles of the arms, legs, back, abdomen, neck, and face. Basil is mentally energizing, invigorating and used for tense muscles. It can improve senses of taste and smell. It is high in phenolic esters.

*WINTERGREEN This oil supports joints and bones. The composition of this oil is more than 80% methyl salicylate (a phenolic ester) that has a cortisone-like effect which may stimulate the body’s own production of natural cortisone, which has none of the harmful side-effects of synthetic cortisone. Also, it has analgesic properties as its chemical structure is much like aspirin.

*MARJORAM  Relaxing to both the involuntary muscles - which include the heart, diaphragm, digestive tract, and reproductive organs - and to the voluntary muscles as well. It is soothing for nerves and may be helpful for migraines. Marjoram has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties.

*CYPRESS   It is antimicrobial and supportive of the circulatory and lymphatic systems. It stimulates the body’s natural white corpuscle production. Cypress may assist in restoring proper cellular programming which restores health and maintains wellness.

*PEPPERMINT  This oil supports the digestive system, respiratory system, nervous system and has been used for headaches. Research has shown that inhaling peppermint improves concentration and mental retention as well as detoxifying to the liver. It is a synergistic oil that supports and improves the beneficial actions of other oils used with it.

*MUSCLE RELAXING BLEND (AROMA SIEZ®) Contains oils of basil, marjoram, lavender, peppermint, and cypress. Calming, relaxing, and relieves tension. Aroma Siez may relieve muscle spasms as well as headaches.

*SOOTHING MASSAGE BLEND (ORTHOEASE®) A massage base oil of wheat germ, grape seed, almond, olive, and Vitamin E containing essential oils of wintergreen, juniper, marjoram, red thyme, vetiver, peppermint, eucalyptus, and lemongrass. Used in European hospitals, it is formulated to soothe muscle aches and minor swelling and contains natural antioxidants.

Raindrop Technique has been known to increase the immune system, relieve back issues, and to create balance and harmony in the body - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Raindrop Technique focuses the healing essence of the essential oils directly to the spinal column where it is believed that viruses and bacteria lie dormant until the immune system weakens. The oils create an environment that is not hospitable for these “foreign” visitors in our bodies and causes them to be eliminated naturally.

Amethyst Biomat

You'll be laying on the Amethyst Bio-mat during your Raindrop session.

The Amethyst Bio-mat is a Class II registered medical device that transfers Nature’s heat (far infrared) through Nature’s gemstones (amethyst) with Nature’s vitamins (negative ions) to encourage and assist in returning the body to its natural state of balance resulting in wellness and well-being.

Far infrared rays are part of the electromagnetic spectrum that have been studied for various health benefits. The far infrared rays provide warmth and relaxation like the energy that radiates from the sun. These rays not only benefit muscles on the surface of the body, but all cells and bodily tissues in the deepest parts of the body. The warm, stimulating waves temporarily increase local circulation. This deep tissue heating relaxes the muscles and tissues surrounding the joints relieving pain and discomfort.
